Document Your Art Before It's Too Late

Once your painting is sold, you'll likely never see it again. When one of your paintings goes to a collector it is out in the world.

There are lots of reasons you might regret it if you don’t keep good records of your works. You may want to show them to someone interested in commissioning a work. And I often look to earlier works I like for inspiration about elements to use in a new painting. I look at overall compositions, color combinations, and textural detail.

In this video I show you how I've kept track of my paintings over the years, and what data I find useful to track.
